I woke up to rain this morning. I didn’t really want to get moving but I was looking forward to getting a burger in town. The rain stopped about 7:15 am so I figured I’d get moving. I hit the trail at 7:30 and I was off. It rained a little on me until about 8:30. I took this opportunity to look at the map, and I’d already done three miles. I was moving.

It continued to sprinkle on me all morning. It ended up being a full day off and on in the rain. It will be nice to be in town out of the rain. I kept moving and walked into town right at 11 am. I did ten miles in 3.5 hours.

I headed straight to the Damascus Dinner where someone paid for my lunch. I was then able to head to my B&B and take a shower. The rest of the day was spent relaxing and eating. Tomorrow I’m taking a ‘zero’ day so I will have plenty of time to take care of chores.

I did 10.2 miles into town with only about 1,000 feet of elevation gain.
